.....And Sometimes I need to eat FRUIT LOOPS

I’m really big on keeping my eating super simple. Call it Intuitive Eating if you will!

Basically it goes like this. I really tune into how my body is feeling, what it feels like Eating and how food makes me feel (ie sluggish, energised, bloated, happy)

Our bodies were innately designed that way, but marketing, gymmicks and a whole bunch of fad diets and “quick fixes” have made things as confusing AF and blocked our ability to tune into the basic principles of listening to our body and fuelling it accordingly.

So here I am, at 3:30pm feeling like a bowl of fruit loops, so that is what I have. No stress, no fuss.
Other days I feel like a cupcake, and some days I feel like a kale superfood bowl. So I go with that and it takes a huge amount of stress and confusion out of what to eat.

I certainly don’t beat myself up about what I ate or sticking to a diet. Because here’s the thing, it doesn’t work.
Equally I tune into my body on how it wants to move that day. Somedays it wants to go on a really big walk, other days it wants to run like a crazy person down the beach, other times I might have niggly back so I do exercises to help release that and strengthen.

And other days, like Tuesday I wanted to just stay inside and lay still( that’s a very rare one for me, so I really listened to my body and honoured that)


The thing is, listening to our body, tuning into our body is a thing we kind of have to re-learn, because we have been raised in a society that rushes us, we are so highly stressed that we block our ability to tune in, or maybe we were raised in a household that forces us to eat everthing on our plate and so we lose the ability to tune into our “full button”.

Or we have told that certain foods are BAD and when we eat them we go into a spiral of “omg I f*cked up, I’m bad, I’ve stuffed up now I may as well eat the entire packet or Tim-Tams”


I am here to tell you, food isn’t bad, carbs are not bad (they are essential for brain function and energy), but we have been brain washed into thinking otherwise.

Love honour and respect your body, tune into it, fuel it well, and it’s totally ok to have a bowl of fruit loops if you like.
Because tomorrow, if you are really listening to your body, you will feel like something totally different
